2-Days Seminar in the context of the ‘Day of Seafarer’
In the context of the 2022 ‘Day of the Seafarer’, a seminar with the theme ‘Mauritian Seafarers’ Challenges’ was successfully organised by the SWF spanning over two days, Friday the 24th of June and Saturday 25th of June 2022 at the Intercontinental Hotel.
Much emphasis was laid, during the two days of the seminar, on the enormous contribution of seafarers in ensuring global trade. It is to be noted that for the twelfth time, the International Day of the Seafarer on the 25th of June is being celebrated world widely. Since its launch in 2011, the day has focused public attention on the contribution made by seafarers to the entire global community and this year’s theme celebrates maritime voyages and journeys.
